H2 MEET(Mobility Energy Environment Technology) 2024 is Korea’s largest specialized hydrogen business exhibition and conference and is one of the most influential hydrogen events in the world.

CEO Yong Seog Kim of LIBECO E&C (center) provides a detailed explanation about the liquid hydrogen Vessel to visitors
LIBECO E&C Co., Ltd. (CEO Yong Seog kim), known as a specialist in liquid hydrogen, has developed a liquid hydrogen storage and supply system applicable to various mobilities, including commercial vehicles. The company unveiled this system at ‘H2 MEET 2024’, which opened on the 25th at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The liquid hydrogen container for commercial vehicles developed by this company, which was established in 2021, is equipped with self-developed components for liquid hydrogen mobility, including an automatic valve, receptacle, and level gauge. It is expected to receive high praise for applying zero BOG (Boil-Off Gas) loss technology, eliminating energy waste.
CEO Yong Seog kim emphasized, ‘The liquid hydrogen Vessel for commercial vehicles that our company has developed is custom-designed for mobility applications through insulation and structural analysis.’ He added, ‘It has the advantage of easy hydrogen leak detection and maintenance due to its valve pit configuration.
The company also states that they can optimize the thermal efficiency of the powertrain by utilizing the cryogenic energy of liquid hydrogen and control the hydrogen supply flow rate for various situations with excellent load-following capabilities.
Meanwhile, the company plans to lead the development of the hydrogen industry by advancing its liquid hydrogen storage and supply systems. They aim to expand from commercial vehicles to various hydrogen mobility applications, including special-purpose vehicles, military equipment, trains, ships, and Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
Additionally, the company has continuously expanded its technological development, as evidenced by several patent registrations and applications, including
○ A patent for a hydrogen fuel cell system utilizing the vaporization heat of liquid hydrogen
○ A patent for a hydrogen fuel cell system using boil-off gas from liquid hydrogen
○ A patent application and PCT for a liquid hydrogen-based hydrogen fuel cell powertrain
○ A registered patent for a liquid hydrogen refueling system”
